More Brady examples...

Project Rendering Example...

This was a project I was asked to render for a job interview,
I was given a set of construction documents and had to build the 3D model
in SketchUp, complete materials and render using Kerkythea.
Project completion time took around 20 hours including renders.

Again just playing with rendering settings...

Ok, I am really starting to get a handle on Kerkythea. Up to this point, I was just using the default settings, and now after a little research I am seeing the full potential of Kerkythea! Differences between Ray Tracing, Photon Mapping and Path Tracing are really starting to make sense. It really helps to have quality materials as well.

Now on to some Architecture next!

A recent, big show that I designed...

Here is one that I designed and drew up the construction documents for our carpenter. I ordered the steel grating for the insets of the screen surrounds, designed the foam logo cut-outs. It was designed in SketchUp and rendered in Kerkythea. The set was fantastic! The clients were real happy. It all came together under budget for the stage design.

More renders.

Set being constructed on site.

Simple Stage Plot

Again, simple construction documents. Set pieces are not skyscrapers.

Playing with Photoshop...

Just playing on Photoshop with texture overlays and pencil styles via airbrush to mimick graphite or charcoal smudges. I saw a portfolio piece online somewhere and loved the style, so I tried to apply something similar to one of my SketchUp models. Here is a link to the inspiration: http://davidgrootegoed.com/

Townhouse Project from Drafting II

Here is one from last year, Drafting II class. It was a 4-unit complex of our own design, using AutoCAD 2012. The project introduced us to gridlines and such. It was a fun project. I exported the CAD file to Illustrator to get the blue background.
